"A Bout de course" documentaire / documentary [DaVinci Resolve]

A BOUT DE COURSE est un documentaire de 52 mn de Ronan Arzur et Matthieu Febvay. Ces deux jeunes réalisateurs ont suivi pendant plusieurs mois l'entraînement de 4 amis inscrits à l'EmbrunMan, un des triathlons les plus difficiles au monde qui se déroule dans les Hautes-Alpes : 3,8 km de natation, 180 km de cyclisme et un marathon (42,195 km de course à pied). Pour ce faire, ils ont utilisé deux Panasonic P2, un Canon 60D ainsi que des GOPro embarquées sur les vélos des concurrents ; cela leur a permis de tourner dans des conditions difficiles, au plus près des sportifs. En accord avec Régis Ayache d'EKLA Production, l'étalonnage a donc d'abord consisté à aligner les sources mixtes puis à définir des ambiances pour les différentes interviews ainsi que pour les GoPro ; un travail conséquent mais passionnant pour les quelques 750 plans du film qui sera bientôt diffusé sur nos écrans.
A BOUT DE COURSE ("Running on Empty") is a 52 mn french documentary by Ronan Arzur and Matthieu Febvay. These two young directors followed for several months the training of 4 friends enrolled at the EmbrunMan, one of the most difficult triathlons in the world that takes place in the Hautes-Alpes: 3,8 km swimming, 180 km cycling and a marathon (42,195 km running). To do so, they've used two Panasonic P2, one Canon 60D  plus embeded GoPro's; it allowed them to shoot in harsh conditions, close to the athletes. In agreement with Régis Ayache from EKLA Production, the color-correction consisted in homogenizing the mixed sources and then define ambiances for the different interviews as for the GoPro's too; a substantial and fascinating work, considering the 750 shots of the film, that will be broadcasted soon in France.
